Peter Cole Surf Polo

1st Annual Peter Cole Invitational Surfboard Polo Tourney finished up with great success with host club Paumalu winning over the Wahoos 6-3.

Although not exactly water polo in the strictest sense, it features much of the same action, only atop surfboards. Organized by Aukai Ferguson and John Nielsen, two former collegiate water polo coaches, they wanted to bring back one of Hawaii's great sports. Played several decades ago, it was very popular. In fact the famous Kahanamoku brothers were regular players.

As part of the festivities, world famous big wave surfer, Peter Cole was honored.
