NORTH BEACH STOPS CORONADO 13-6

CORONADO, Calif. – Cristian Gonzales scored four times to lead seven North Beach scorers as the squad downed Coronado 13-6 in the boys' 18-and-under division at the National State Challenge hosted by American Water Polo.

Tied 1-1 with 3:54 left in the first period, North Beach iced the victory before halftime with eight consecutive goals to take a 9-1 lead with 5:16 left in the third period and cruise to victory.

Jake Eaton contributed three goals to accompany Gonzales' quartet of scoring shots, while Eric Robb tacked on a pair of goals to mark the only North Beach players' to reach double digits in scoring.

Tyler Brownell led Coronado with a hat-trick to go along with two goals by John Hill.
